The car’s decrease in size should help make the New 2010 Nissan 370Z Car lighter than the car it’s replacing, which should mean performance and fuel efficiency of the new Z will be improved.Those 332 horses will be sent to the 370Z’s rear wheels via either a seven-speed automatic or a six-speed manual gearbox. Once again, Ford is teasing us with a new car in the UK. According to Auto Express, Ford will make a Fiesta RS. The RS will be a slight upgrade from the ST model, taking the 1.6-liter direct-injection EcoBoost turbo to bring power to 200hp. This should make the Fiesta RS good from zip-to-60mph in 6 seconds dead and 140mph top speed. Rumor round it also could include six-speed twin-clutch semi-auto gearbox (man, that’s a lot of words for saying semi-auto tranny) with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.Once again, Ford is building something exciting for the UK/Euro market like the Mondeo, Focus ST with over 200 hp and now the little Fiesta RS. Its 171bhp 3.0-litre D-4D will be mated to a five-speed auto’ ‘box. It has combined fuel economy of 34.9mpg and CO2 emissions of 214g/km, which Toyota claim are the best figures in its class.
The body-on-frame construction remains from the old model, but Toyota claims it has increased rigidity by 11 per cent. Insulating frame-to-body mounts have been added to absorb engine, drivetrain and road noise, and to improve ride comfort.
Higher spec models will be offered with a new electronic kinetic dynamic suspension system, which adjusts the front and rear anti-roll bars for optimised on and off-road performance.
The top-spec LC5 model gets Toyota’s adaptive variable suspension system (AVS) with roll posture control, which offers a choice of three damper settings. An electronically controlled rear air suspension system works with the AVS, providing an auto-levelling function and switchable height control.
A new multi-terrain select system features, which automatically controls power and braking to optimise performance for different types of off-road surfaces. A multi-terrain monitor feeds real time images from around the vehicle from a network of four cameras to provide the driver with more information about the immediate surroundings.
Prices are expected to start at around £30,000 when it goes on sale on 1 December.

The new grille (complete with ‘wing motif’) flanked by elongated headlights is both modern and instantly recognisable as a Subaru. Prominent wheel-arches hint at the impressive power running through the Symmetrical AWD system, while the strong belt line and a chrome-rimmed glass-house give the Legacy Tourer a premium feel.

Vauxhall opens up new Insignia
The new Insignia’s Cabin design and rigging out will provide DNA for future Vauxhall designs.
Vauxhall has just released the first official pictures of the new Insignia’s Interior ahead of its world public debut at the British International Motor Show, London, at the end of next month.
The car replaces the Vauxhall Vectra, and it goes on sale in both hatchback and saloon forms throught the UK in October from Vauxhall dealers nationwide.
But it’s the interior space, fixtures and fittings that will come under close scrutiny from fleet buyers, and Vauxhall has set out to impress.
John Puskar, head of interior design at GM Europe, says “We wanted to create Interior enviroments for all our future vehicles that are warm, inviting and sporty. The new Vauxhall Insignia is the first evidence of this philosophy.”
This translates into a high quality cabin with a warm and inviting interior.
Vauxhall’s designers have added an amber-coloured ambient light to enhance the night driving enviroment. The instrument cluster is illuminated white, but on pressing the SPORT button, the lighting turns red to match the surrounding illumination
Cabin practicality will also raise the bar in Insignia’s market sector says Puskar.
“The centre console offer felxibility and intelligent design solutions, such as space liberating e-brake and seperate multi-function control on certain models.
“Both the steering wheel and front seats have a huge range of adjustability to suit all shapes and sizes, while adjustable armrests, ergonomically-placed controls, a multi use storage box, and MP3 connectivity will reinforce Insignia’s appeal to private and business drivers, “adds the GM design chief.
